A physician trained in family medicine with 1-2 years of significant specialized training in treating and preventing illness and injury.
We offer conservative management of common musculoskeletal injuries, including pain in the joints, ligaments, muscles, nerves, tendons, and structures that support limbs, neck, and back.
Our practice is designed to treat everyone regardless of age. Our physicians have specialized training in pediatrics through geriatrics and will be able to provide counseling to all age groups, including the prenatal population.
Botulinum toxin is the only FDA approved treatment used to treat chronic migraines. It is also used for muscle stiffness/spasms or movement disorders (such as cervical dystonia, torticollis), hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating) and to reduce the cosmetic appearance of wrinkles.
Our team treats children and adults after sustaining head trauma in order to ensure there is a plan for returning safely to school, work and athletics. Imaging studies are sometimes used to rule out serious injuries, but are not indicated in the evaluation of uncomplicated concussion. Complete cognitive and physical rest are key components in the initial management of a concussion.
Ultrasound is a tool used by our physicians to guide needle aspirations and injections greatly improving the outcome.
Theraputic procedures done in-office may include: tenotomies, fenestrations, disruption, and aspiration of intra tendinous calcific deposits otherwise know as barbotage, trigger point needling and "tendon scraping". Sacroiliac joint injections are also performed in-office.
